During her academic journey, Mimi focused on the intersection of criminology and how it affects marginalized communities, especially women in America.
In 2018, Mimi moved to South Korea with her husband, fascinated by its culture, which she had learned about from childhood friends. Immersed in the country's rich history, Mimi discovered her passion for true crime and was inspired by the kindness of local true crime creators.
